GBENGA ARTSMITH RELEASES NEW COLLECTION "ZARIA"

Gbenga Ayo-Dada is Nigeria's most renowned male jeweller. He is the designer behind the contemporary jewelry label, Gbenga Artsmith. Fondly referred to as the king of the Nigerian jewelry industry, his works have received critical acclaim and rave reviews in both local and international circles. A multiple award winner, he was the only accessory designer chosen to showcase at the maiden edition of GTB Fashion weekend in 2016.

Gbenga is the go-to person in Nollywood for any movie/TV series that is especially wedding-related; some of his portfolio includes providing bespoke accessories for the blockbusters "The Wedding Party 1 $ 2," "Isoken," "Royal Hibiscus Hotel," "Tinsel," to mention a few. Gbenga is young, purposeful and savvy!

The lookbook, "ZARIA" is a contemporary adaptation of life in the ancient city of ZARIA in Northern Nigeria. The pieces are ingenious and meticulously crafted to bring familiar nuances of the city to life. The inspirations from ZARIA heavily influenced everything in the lookbook- from the use of exotic snakeskin, conceptualization, cultural aesthetics to the intentional styling.

ROYAL WEDDINGS: MILLINERIES, HATS TO LOOK OUT FOR

There’s still so much to do before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding! Between predictions and preparations, we are especially looking forward to the wedding guest fashion extravaganza and when it comes to royal wedding guest attire, fascinators are the most important accessory.
For some women it represents a status symbol or honoring tradition, for others it's pure fun. Depending on the event, there’s often an unspoken competition for best fascinator or headpiece, and that’s where the fun ensues. Some of my customers wear them as a form of self-expression, especially the more elaborate and artistic pieces. A great headpiece is like a fab pair of Louboutins.
Hats and fascinators are a high-society staple across the pond, but with an American as the bride, and many American wedding guests, will the accessory still reign supreme?

ROYAL BRIDES : PRINCESS DIANA, DUCHESS KATHERINE AND NOW, MEGHAN MERKLE

With the royal wedding coming up, it will be nice to pay some homage to the late princess Diana who brought fashion and poise to the royal family.
Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has been the only one that has stepped up to the fashion game since the demise of Princess Diana, either she’s dressed in summer or winter outfits, Kate has made royalty more beautiful, we might attribute that to her runway experience.
The royal bride to-be, Meghan has also brought her A-game since the royal engagement announcement, making royalty more beautiful.
Formally, it had always been the royal trio, Prince William, Prince Harry and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate, right now, we have a new royalty, Meghan Merkle, we will definitely be looking out for her Outfits and hopes she brings her A-game because Princess Diana and Kate are definitely still unbeaten.
